The history of Tekfa

TEKFA today
We have the most dedicated employees. Everyone is passionate about their specific field and help create the best solutions for our customers and partners. TEKFA continues to further develop our products and systems. We have been developing our weighing and dosing system and we have upgraded TEKFA Vision to the most current Windows based features such as remote control and database. We are also currently working on GPS and APP controlled weighing systems.

The 2000s
In this decade, TEKFA directs its focus towards export markets, where TEKFA acts as a main supplier or partner to larger branch-specific turnkey manufacturers.
Erik Borup steps down as CEO in 2006 and devotes himself to working on the board of the company. At the time, a new CEO is found and a smooth generational handover becomes possible.

The 1990s
TEKFA has been exporting since the 70s, but with a branch in the Netherlands TEKFA adopts a more international profile and starts selling and manufacturing plants for most of the world.
The positive development continues and the company moves to new premises in the previous Klank Dairy in Galten near Aarhus.
TEKFA takes over the company Becodan and moves it to Galten. Becodan are stainless steel specialists. TEKFA receives certification in accordance with the ISO 9002 of Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance.
Our Dutch division became an independent BV in 1999.

The 1980s
TEKFA develops the scale computer Mikrotek 800 that links weighing technology with early data technology. Mikrotek 800 is a huge success and used by companies all over the world.
TEKFA expands and converts into a private limited company in the late 80s. During the same period, a branch is started in the Netherlands.
The company ventures into several new branches such as the food industry, the chemical industry and the construction industry.

The 1970s
TEKFA was founded in 1975 by Erik Borup Andersen.
Not long after the establishment of the company, a belt weight for the feed industry was developed and the company was the first in Denmark to have a verified weight approved for sale.
